Located in the heart of Zurich, STUDIO Restaurant, Bar & Club combines 1970s charm with Japanese cuisine, creative cocktails, and rousing music. Our stylish interior, equipped with six Klipsch Heresy speakers, provides a first-class sound experience that makes every event unforgettable.
The menu delights with Japanese highlights such as katsu sando, while our cocktails are inspired by Japan's izakayas. The experience is rounded off by a carefully curated wine and drinks list – at STUDIO, consistently high quality is our top priority, whether in food, drinks, service, or music.
STUDIO is more than just a place – it is a local and diverse community, rooted in Zurich, open to the world. This is where genuine encounters and unforgettable experiences take place.

Studio stands for carefully curated music across genres – not limited by style, but always connected by attitude, depth and soul. Jazz, electronic, leftfield, disco, experimental, live – not all at once, but at the right time in the right space.
Your Host
Mervan Franz is the managing director of STUDIO Restaurant, Bar & Club. After many years in his native Berlin, he has now settled in his adopted home of Zurich – with the aim of creating a place that is more than just gastronomy and nightlife. For him, being a host means more than just good food and drinks. It's about attitude, atmosphere, and the feeling that lingers. The Japanese word “omotenashi” describes what he embodies at STUDIO: hospitality from the heart – attentive, respectful, present, without being intrusive.
Studio is a space for sound, taste, and night. A place where food, drink, and music don't just coexist, but blend into one another. The evening begins as a restaurant, evolves into a listening bar, and ends in a club. Eat. Drink. Dance.
Your Event with us
Our restaurant offers a wide range of options for private parties, corporate events, or exclusive functions.
We can accommodate around 100 guests à la carte.
For flying food events, there is space for up to 150 guests, while the club area without furniture can host events for up to 220 people.
The central area with the dance floor can accommodate around 30 or more guests and is ideal for music and party formats. There are also two lounge areas: a lounge next to the entrance with space for around 20 people and a lounge behind the DJ booth for around 15 people.
The location thus offers flexible room options – from formal dinners to large celebrations with dancing and a lounge atmosphere.
